Marri

Blending ancient symbolism with modern craftsmanship, our accessory collection Marri; reimagines Hittite artisty-bold, intricate pieces that carry the spirit, power, and elegance of a timeless civilization into today.

We aimed to design an accessory collection that reflects the aesthetic sensibility of the Hittite civilization and modernized versions of the traditional crafts they widely used. The overall style is symbolic, adorned with intricate craftsmanship, and inspired by religious, mythological, and natural elements of the era. Geometric patterns such as circles, spirals, and triangles are frequently incorporated into the accessories. These designs were not merely decorative but were regarded as symbols representing cosmic order and the universe.

Hittite accessories stand out as pieces that embody the artistic vision and craftsmanship of the Hittite civilization, which ruled Anatolia during the 2nd milennium BCE. Their style is highly symbolic, richly detailed, and influenced by the spiritual, mythological, and natural aspects of their time. Metalwork was refined and meticulously crafted, often incorporating precious stones. Metal embossing and engraving techniques—now nearly forgotten in Anatolia—were widely used in Hittite art.

Hittite accessories were typicaly large, bold, and heavy, serving not only as personal adornments but also as symbols of social status and power. They carried both functional and artistic value, with religious symbols and nature-inspired elements playing a central role in their design. The style is characterized by complexity, fine details, and strong symbolism.

Drawing from our research, we sought to create accessories that serve as a bridge between the past and the present, capturing the essence of Hittite aesthetics in a contemporary form.

Care & Maintenance

Your Marāu piece carries the spirit of Anatolian craftsmanship into your home. As each piece is entirely handcrafted, subtle variations may occur, making every creation truly one of a kind. By caring for it, you honor both the artisans’ devotion and the story within each creation.

Silver Care:

Each Marāu creation is meticulously handcrafted by master artisans, carrying forward the timeless legacy of Anatolia.
Its surface is finished with 33-micron 999 fine silver plating and protected with a transparent lacquer coating to preserve its beauty for many years.

Cleaning & Care

  • The transparent protective layer significantly delays tarnishing.
  • Clean only with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. If needed, gently wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately.
  • Do not use detergents, chemical cleaners, alcohol, or silver-polishing products.

Usage Guidelines

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, humidity, or heat.
  • Prevent scratches by avoiding contact with sharp or abrasive objects.
  • If the coating is compromised, please contact us for professional restoration and re-coating.

For Long-Lasting Elegance

  • Routine dusting is sufficient.
  • As each piece is made from natural materials, it may develop subtle signs of aging over time. Thanks to the protective coating, this process remains minimal and aesthetically refined.
